Classic Venice: San Marco and Rialto
The itinerary suggests a walking tour among the two most important landmarks of the historic town. Rialto, once milestone of trades, and St. Mark’s square, core of the religious, political and daily life in the Serenissima Republic. We’ll visit the exteriors of the only “Piazza” of Venice. Enjoy the bell-tower, symbol of the city and so called “landlord”; Saint Mark’s Basilica with its cosmopolitan architecture and the ancient golden-tiled mosaics; Doge’s Palace, former political headquarter and private house of the Doge. We can also walk by the famous La Fenice Opera House, cross the main shopping routes, reach Rialto bridge and its area, walking through many surprises and hidden treasures!
